Eastside Teen Outreach
|
Eastside Teen Outreach is a 501(c)3 charitable non-profit serving over 150 teens throughout southeast Macomb County since 2008. ETO specializes in working with marginalized teens; those dealing with issues such as depression, neglect, cutting, bullying and low self-esteem.
ETO brings teens together to make a positive impact in the world. Our mission is to foster and reinforce positive values, habits and lifestyles upon which teens will be able to build their lives and communities. To replace trouble, difficulty and dysfunction in their lives with positive choices that provide hope for their futures.
ETO exists to provide a safe environment where teens can have fun, to provide a positive peer culture encouraging mature attitudes, to model and teach a moral value system that profits the teens as well as fellow members of the community, to provide teens with an opportunity to discover, develop and use their unique talents and gifts, to provide a means of making “first-contact” with teens who are experiencing problems, to provide proactive intervention in the lives of teens who are deemed to be “at risk”.
ETO envisions a community in which every youth experiences nurturing one-to-one relationships and community support, which in turn enables each of them to develop to their full potential: capable of making informed, responsible decisions as involved members of our community and contributors to society. ETO meets this need in our community by offering a safe environment for teens ages 12 to 17 to connect and interact with each other ... |
